The Beverage Company has a national reach, with a strong focus in the independent on and off premise trade. The Beverage Company have experience and relationships with key national buyers, banner groups and wide range wholesalers. With the continuing growth in premium, craft and ever emerging alternative drinks sectors, we are committed to providing exceptional service to brand owners, seamless logistics and product handling in this ever changing and innovative industry.

Who we are

Craig Sweet | Managing Director

Craig’s heritage is broadacre agriculture in South Australia, however made a decision to resettle in WA over 20 years ago. 

Craig forged his successful career in the hotel and hospitality management industry and then gained extensive hands-on experience in distribution and wholesaling of global liquor brands, brand owner management and national sales.

Craig has held various senior management positions in Australia. Including General Manager for one of Western Australia’s largest wine producers, Sales Manager of Australia’s largest independent spirits distributor. Craig was instrumental in the introduction and evolution of many global brands in Australia; such brand portfolio’s include Delegate,  JCI / Proximo, Heaven Hill, Weston’s, Marston’s, Whyte and Mackay but to name a few, before establishing The Beverage Company in 2017.

Our Team

SANKA KIRIWATHTHUDUWA

Sanka is a member of CPA Australia and he blooded his career working with leading international chartered accountancy firms.  Prior to joining The Bev Co Sanka was financial controller for one of the largest wine producers in WA. He has over 25 years expertise in senior finance roles, and is notably one of the most seasoned liquor tax experts.

RICHARD CARRALL

Richard is instrumental in overseeing our entire supply chain process, ensuring smooth coordination of logistics and warehouse management. Leveraging his wealth of experience, he brings valuable insights and expertise to the business, contributing significantly to its operational excellence.

DES MCCREANOR

Boasting over 20 years of experience in the liquor industry, and over 18 years as an owner of diverse liquor stores across Perth.  He has a passion for the liquor industry, a keen eye for a good whisky, and a thirst for beer no matter where it comes from. He loves all things sport, having played AFL, Cricket, and Soccer in his earlier years, and he actively contributes to his local community by coaching AFL teams. Golf is also listed but mentions that his clubs might be his biggest handicap.  Des is an avid traveller and loves exploring overseas destinations with his wife and three sons.

Joe Sinagra

An industry legend, Joe has been the engine room behind some of the most famous bars in Australia. Joe has been named in Drinks World magazine top 25 bartenders in the world 3 times in the past 6 years, Eight times has finished top 10 Australian Bartender Awards. Has won numerous trophies for best bartender, including Brookies Gin, Diageo Worlds, Bartenders for Bourbon.

Duncan Scott

With more than two decades of experience in the Australian Bar and Restaurant sector, Duncan is not only a seasoned Sommelier and drinks specialist but also holds a Level 2 WSET certification, a Bachelor’s degree in Science, and boasts accomplished skills as a Chef.

COLLEEN BUDD

Our dynamic creative, Colleen infuses her exceptional skill set into crafting top-notch designs …and also keeps everyone in line with our branding. She is very meticulous and deeply passionate about generating high-quality work. Colleen embraces the challenges of technology with enthusiasm and breathes fresh creativity into every project she undertakes.

Kylie White

Having amassed experience in accounts and administration, particularly within the construction and manufacturing sectors, Kylie eagerly embraced the opportunity to transition into the liquor industry in 2023. She holds a Diploma in Hospitality Management, a Cert 4 in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), and has significant proficiency in MYOB and accounting.

Lachlan Galvez

Lachy is an active sportsman who brings his youthful and energetic vitality to the warehousing and logistics team. With experience in various industries, he  adapted swiftly to the challenges of the liquor industry.
